“The Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) envisage to build world class environmental friendly air logistics industry by innovation, allied action with credibility and providing business facilitation to boost the Indian economy.”

Mission

  • Develop major Airports as Cargo Gateway Airports with cost effective & efficient services & world class infrastructure facilities.
  • Develop major transit cargo hubs - Taking the benefit of India’s Geo-political situation being positioned at the east west air transport corridor; all out efforts shall be made to convert Indian international airports becoming major transit cargo hubs.
  • Implementation of Simplified Air Cargo Processing - The regulatory frame of our country is very rigid with traditional mind set. Drastic changes in the regulatory policies and mind set at all the levels of the regulatory mechanism to be inculcated by introducing simplified procedures.
  • Generate Bigger Voice & Platform - Create/ develop strong association of embers from entire air cargo trade with capable, knowledgeable & credible members of cargo community to create bigger voice & platform for resolving air cargo trade related common issues of concern.
  • Bring synergy among ACFI members with an intention to work together on common issues of mutual interest unitedly to face its challenges and work for the speedy growth of air cargo & fast economic development of the country.

Aims & Objectives

Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) always strives for the development of India’s major airports as cargo gateway airport and promoting them as major international transit cargo hubs. ACFI works for the promotion of trade facilitation in the air mode of transportation and improving the level of ease of doing business in the processing of EXIM trade through simplified air cargo processing at all levels of operation and build larger platform for air cargo industry with bigger voice for raising concerns and bring synergy among the air cargo fraternity.

  • To promote & facilitate, development of world class air cargo infrastructure and improvements in the air cargo industry in India.
  • Promote cooperation among its members with regard to matters of mutual and common interest and to assist members in securing better facilities or improve the existing facilities at airports and elsewhere for the benefit of smooth and efficient handling operation of international cargo.
  • Represent air cargo logistic trade before the concerned ministries of center state government as the case may be, in respect of their policies creative bottlenecks in the smooth & fasted processing of international air cargo which have bearing on the healthy growth of air cargo industry in INDIA.
  • Promote go-green environment to achieve paperless transaction & environment friendly cargo operations through e-Trade, e-Freight & Cargo Community System in coordination with trade partners & Govt. agencies.
  • Institute a research wing to sponsor/ undertake specific and cargo logistic research projects and technology demonstration for creating awareness among air cargo trade and general public and its introduction in the handling & processing of air cargo at all the stages of cargo operations.
  • Work for the, expansion, promotion and modernization of air cargo handing at par with the best international standard and practices for that purpose appoint high level committees of experts from the industry to support, adopt and recommend modern technology to suite Indian condition.
  • To promote & induce useful knowledge on air cargo transports & logistics business among its members & public.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop dialogue with the entire air cargo trade & industry, give the air cargo industry viewpoints on major developments & govt. policies, impacting air cargo industry and participate in meetings of Govt. bodies & leading industry seminars.
  • Not only at government policy level improvements ACFI shall also work for bringing innovations in terms of standard in the handling, manpower skill & infrastructure facilities at all the levels of air cargo business happening in India.
  • Its role will work as a catalyst in removing the major procedural bottlenecks & policy hurdles in the logistic network for national & global economic development.
  • ACFI is committed to work tirelessly for a sustainable air cargo growth in the country. Its role will work as a vital component in the improvements of air cargo logistic network and a driver of national & global economic development.
