ACFI organized Awareness Program on Goods and Services Tax (GST)

ACFI has been organizing various industry specific awareness programs to its members in the past. In its series of awareness programs recently an Awareness Program on GST was organized by ACFI to the members of Air Cargo Logistics Industry on 18th Nov’ 2015 at 11 AM in the Conference Hall of M/s. Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India Pvt. Ltd., International Cargo Terminal – 1, IGI Airport, New Delhi. About 34 nos. of ACFI members from the entire air cargo logistics trade and industry attended the said workshop on GST. Mr. Uday Pimprikar, Partner – Earnest & Young LLP who give a detailed presentation on the current position of Goods and Services Tax (GST) proposal of Government of India which is awaiting the approval of the Parliament. Mr. Uday is a Partner in the Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) Business Unit and has more than 15 years of experience in advising clients in various indirect tax legislations including Service Tax, Excise, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy and Value Added Tax. Mr. Uday is a key member of the Indian Indirect Tax practice, handling and overseeing one of the largest indirect tax relationships in the country.

Mr. Uday was felicitated by Mr. Pradeep Panicker, President – ACFI with a bouquet of flower. The presentation was very interesting and eye opener for the members as presented so elaborately by Mr. Uday. In his presentation Mr. Uday broadly covered following areas.

After the presentation given by Mr. Uday the house was kept open for question answer session. There were lots of quest alcoholism ions thrown by the members present who were satisfied by the responses of Mr. Uday and the members expressed their full satisfaction on the GST overview given by Mr. Uday and appreciated his indepth knowledge on the subject.

At the end Mr. Pradeep Panicker, President – ACFI presented a memento on behalf of all ACFI members as token of appreciation to Mr. Uday and thanked him for taking this huge trouble coming all the way from Mumbai just for delivering a lecture on this important awareness program on GST to ACFI members at Delhi.
